The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has imposed a six-month sanction on Samuel Eto’o, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT), for inappropriate behavior.

The incident occurred during the U-20 Women's World Cup, where Eto’o allegedly hurled insults at match officials.

The sanction is linked to the Round of 16 match between Brazil and Cameroon in the U-20 Women's World Cup, held on September 11, 2024.

As a result, Eto’o has been banned from attending any matches involving Cameroon's representative teams for six months. This punishment stems from violations of Articles 13 (Offensive behavior and violation of fair play principles) and 14 (Misconduct by players and officials) of FIFA’s Disciplinary Code, as reported by africatopsports.

Consequently, Eto’o will be unable to attend stadiums for both the men's and women's national team matches of Cameroon during this period.
