The national beach soccer team has qualified for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2024) in Egypt.
Morocco's qualification comes after Angola, their opponent in the qualifiers for this competition, forfeited. This announcement was made officially by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The Moroccan team was set to face Angola in a two-leg match for the qualifiers, with the first leg scheduled to take place from July 19 to 21, and the second and final leg set for July 26 to 28.
Eight countries will participate in the final phase of the AFCON 2024 beach soccer tournament in Egypt.
The previous edition, held in 2022 in Mozambique, saw Senegal crowned champions, securing their fourth consecutive continental title.
