The Romanian president has expressed the high regard his country has for Moroccan intelligence services. This recognition was manifested through the awarding of Romania's highest distinction to the exceptional contribution of the General Directorate of Studies and Documentation (DGED), represented by its Director General, Mohamed Yassine Mansouri.

The outstanding contribution of Morocco's DGED to the promotion of regional security and the development of relations with its Romanian counterpart has left a lasting impression on the Romanian authorities. As a result, President Klaus Werner Johannis, by presidential decree No. 1,365 dated November 6, 2023, published in the Monitorul Oficial (the Official Gazette of Romania) on November 9, 2023, awarded the Moroccan Intelligence Service, represented by its Director General, on December 11, 2023, in Bucharest, the decoration of "The Star of Romania," rank of Grand Officer.

"The Star of Romania" is the highest civilian distinction granted by the Romanian state. It is important to note that the Romanian Prime Minister, Marcel Ciolacu, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luminita Odebescu, had recently praised the fruitful security cooperation between the foreign intelligence services of the two countries.
