The Atlas Lions will continue their preparations next Sunday in Tangier with a friendly match against Mali.
According to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), the match will take place at the Grand Stadium of Tangier, with kick-off scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Morocco were initially due to face Ghana, but the Ghana Football Association informed the FRMF in writing of its withdrawal, citing internal reasons.
Mali were subsequently named as a replacement for the Black Stars, providing Morocco with a new test at the Grand Stadium of Tangier.
The friendly comes after Morocco’s strong start to the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The Atlas Lions won their opening two matches by identical 2-0 scorelines against Gabon and Lesotho.
The clash with Mali will therefore provide another opportunity for the Moroccan national team to continue its preparations and build on the momentum generated by those two victories.
