Morocco delivered an outstanding performance at the 4th edition of the Official Tournament of African Chefs (TOC Africa) 2026, claiming continental titles in both gastronomy and pastry.

The double victory qualifies the Kingdom for two major world finals to be held in Lyon in 2027: the Grand Final of the Pastry World Cup, scheduled for January as part of Sirha Lyon, and the Bocuse d’Or final.

Held from September 22 to 24, 2026, at the Les Dunes d’Or Convention Center in Taghazout Bay, the fourth edition brought together Africa’s leading teams for a series of challenges designed to meet the standards and requirements of major international finals.

With this continental double, Morocco has further strengthened the position of its culinary talent on the African stage and secured its place in two of the world’s most prestigious culinary competitions.

“For three days, Agadir was much more than a competition venue. It became a meeting place for expertise and culinary traditions. Each participating country showcased its culture and culinary identity,” said Kamal Rahal, President of TOC Africa, as quoted in a statement by Rahal Event, a subsidiary of the Rahal Group.

According to Rahal, the competition also fostered genuine South-South exchange through the sharing of expertise, cultures and African culinary identities.

Morocco’s double triumph at TOC Africa 2026 marks another milestone in this ambition, with the focus now firmly on Lyon 2027.
