General of the Army Corps Mohammed Berrid, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, received on Tuesday at the FAR General Staff Headquarters Major General Vincent Nyakarundi, Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Army, who is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Moroccofrom November 10 to 14.

This visit is part of the implementation of the military cooperation agreement signed in June 2025 in Rabat between the two parties, covering various areas of collaboration in the defense and military sectors, according to a statement from the FAR General Staff.

During the meeting, the Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Army expressed his deep satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries.

He emphasized that this visit marks an important milestone in the development of military cooperation, offering a valuable opportunity for exchange and consultation between the two armies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both officials reaffirmed their shared commitment to maintaining the current partnership momentum and broadening its scope, thereby contributing to the consolidation of a sustainable and exemplary military cooperation between the two forces.

Rooted in a long and solid history, the bilateral relations between Morocco and Rwanda—further strengthened since King Mohammed VI’s historic visit to Kigali in 2016—are evolving toward a strategic partnership aimed at promoting development, security, and peace across the African continent.
