The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and Morocco, the host nation, have officially announced the stadiums that will host the African intercontinental qualifying tournament for the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
This mini-tournament will be held from November 13 to 16, 2025, in Rabat, bringing together four African teams: Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, and Nigeria. Africa has nine direct spots for the World Cup, while the winner of this tournament will compete in March 2026 in an intercontinental playoff to claim the tenth and final African slot.
The semifinals will take place on November 13 at two venues — the El Barid Stadium and the Prince Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex — with a draw determining the stadium for each match. The opening match will pit Nigeria against Gabon at 5:00 p.m. (4:00 p.m. GMT). The second semifinal will feature Cameroon vs. the Democratic Republic of Congo at 8:00 p.m. (7:00 p.m. GMT).
The final will be played on November 16, 2025, at the Prince Héritier Moulay El Hassan Sports Complex at 8:00 p.m. (7:00 p.m. GMT).
The winner of the tournament will advance to the FIFA intercontinental playoffs in March 2026, where they will have a chance to secure Africa’s last qualifying spot for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
