The head of Gambian diplomacy visited Rabat, carrying a written message to His Majesty the King from the President of Gambia.

On Monday in Rabat, Nasser Bourita, Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad, received Gambia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.

Mamadou Tangara brought a written message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI from Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of Gambia.

Following the meeting, Tangara expressed his appreciation for the excellent relations between Morocco and Gambia, praising the substantial support provided by the Kingdom, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, for the successful hosting of the upcoming Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) scheduled for May 4 and 5 in Gambia.

In this regard, he reiterated Gambia's desire to work hand in hand with Morocco to achieve the goals set for a prosperous, united, and stable Africa, emphasizing the importance of the Royal Initiative for the Atlantic, which he described as "a guarantee of stability and prosperity."

Moreover, the Gambian foreign minister took the opportunity to reaffirm his country's support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco over its entire territory, including the Moroccan Sahara.
