The elected President of the Republic of Guinea, Mamadi Doumbouya, winner of the presidential election held on December 28, 2025, on Sunday expressed his gratitude to voters and to the entire Guinean people for the trust placed in him following the vote.
According to the president-elect, the people of Guinea demonstrated maturity, calm, dignity, and a high sense of responsibility throughout the electoral process.
"We have shown the world that Guinea knows how to choose its destiny in peace and with respect for institutions, as evidenced by the reports of international electoral observation missions,” Doumbouya stated.
He also praised those who supported his candidacy and the vision he presented to voters during the election campaign.
"Today, there are neither winners nor losers. There is only one Guinea, united and indivisible,” he said, calling on all sons and daughters of the nation to work together to build a new Guinea founded on peace, justice, and shared prosperity.
Looking ahead to 2026, the president-elect said the year would be marked by work, discipline, unity, and collective hope.
"We will write a new chapter in our history in the exclusive service of the sovereign people of Guinea,” he concluded.
