Highlighting the importance of the forum's theme, the president stressed the urgency of strengthening the sovereignty of African states against external and internal pressures. He called for international collaboration to address challenges related to food security, energy transition, technological education, and environmental crisis management. "The resilience of our states lies in their ability to adapt while preserving their sovereignty," he asserted, pointing to conflicts in Ukraine, Gaza, and Lebanon, as well as internal tensions within Africa.
Amid global tragedies, the president emphasized the need for constructive and inclusive dialogue. According to him, "War is never won; it is always judged by history." He also reiterated his support for a lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, grounded in the coexistence of two sovereign states.
For President Assoumani, Africa has the responsibility to create a future where state sovereignty is respected and global challenges are addressed collaboratively, constructively, and positively.
