As a technological partner of GITEX Africa 2024, Orange Morocco is participating in the event by opening its space to startups within its ecosystem, as explained by its General Secretary. Hind Lfal announces, as a sneak preview, that two of these startups have already secured funding.

Orange strongly believes in the promising future of the kingdom with the imminent launch of the Morocco Digital Strategy 2030. This is evident from the statements collected by L’Observateur du Maroc et d’Afrique from Hind Lfal. The General Secretary of Orange Morocco highlights the operator's commitment to this strategy and the digital transformation of the country, aiming to transform it into a Digital Nation.

In this context, the Moroccan subsidiary of Orange has announced a partnership with Amazon to bring Amazon web services to Morocco, thereby meeting data localization and security requirements. The operator is developing Cloud activities. By doing so, Orange Morocco is building a partner startup ecosystem. “We are convinced that no one can do anything alone,” says Hind Lfal, who believes in the power of collective intelligence to advance the Morocco Digital Strategy 2030.

At GITEX Africa 2024, Orange Morocco has opened its stand to highly innovative startups, some of which are already offering Artificial Intelligence solutions, allowing them to directly present their innovations to visitors and venture capitalists seeking business opportunities. “We have two startups that have successfully raised funds from a Swiss venture capital entity. We are very proud of this.” The official announcement will be made soon, reveals the General Secretary, adding that two other startups are set to follow suit with an international VC.

Its subsidiaries also showcase their products and services, providing an overview of Orange's activities not only in Morocco but also in the rest of Africa.
