Fally Ipupa is building momentum for his next musical project with the release of "Ami chéri” and "Bonheur parfait,” two new singles offering a taste of what to expect from XX Delirium.

With the two tracks, the Congolese artist brings Congolese rumba back to the heart of his musical universe. The releases also provide a clearer picture of the identity of his upcoming project, presented as the distinctly rumba-focused chapter of his anniversary year.

A Return to His Roots After XX

The timing of Fally Ipupa’s projects is significant. XX Delirium follows XX, released in April 2026 to mark the 20th anniversary of his solo career.

Musically, however, the two projects are expected to take different directions. With XX, Fally Ipupa broadened his sound to embrace urban and international influences, collaborating with artists including Wizkid, Angélique Kidjo, DJ Maphorisa, Calema, TRESOR, Lokua Kanza, SDM and Joé Dwèt Filé.

Upon its release, the album went straight to the top of France’s albums chart, underlining the artist’s international reach.

With XX Delirium, Fally Ipupa now appears ready to return to a sound more deeply rooted in Congolese rumba.

Following in the Footsteps of Formule 7

"Ami chéri” and "Bonheur parfait” do not represent a break from Fally Ipupa’s musical journey. Instead, they build on a style he has extensively explored before, notably with Formule 7, his previous major project centered on Congolese rumba.

The two singles revive the sentimental, melodic and romantic side of his music that has long held an important place in the singer’s discography.

With these new releases, Fally Ipupa is gradually setting the stage for XX Delirium, a project expected to showcase the richness of Congolese rumba while remaining firmly rooted in the evolution of his artistic career.
