On Africa Day, celebrated on May 25, 2026 at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rabat, Nasser Bourita highlighted the foundations of the Vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI for the continent.
This Vision was rooted first and foremost in a profound conviction. Africa was not merely a priority of Morocco’s foreign policy. It was the Kingdom’s natural space of belonging, action and international projection.
Morocco’s African policy was firmly future-oriented. It prioritized solidarity, South-South cooperation and African solutions to African challenges. It combined Afro-optimism with a pragmatic approach based on the continent’s genuine capacity to become one of the world’s leading growth poles.
Under Royal leadership, Morocco supported initiatives designed to strengthen regional integration, connectivity, shared prosperity and the access of landlocked countries to international trade networks.
The Rabat celebration served as a reminder that the Kingdom’s commitment to Africa was neither circumstantial nor simply a matter of diplomatic positioning. It formed part of a consistent, people-centred vision focused on building an integrated, stable, united and self-confident Africa.
