The meeting brought together officials and partners involved in peace operations around a shared ambition—to better adapt international responses to the realities of French-speaking regions and strengthen the effectiveness of multilateral action.
In a message addressed to the conference, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres thanked Morocco and France for organizing and co-chairing the event.
The declaration adopted at the end of the high-level segment praised the Kingdom’s leading role as a major contributor to international peace and security.
Jean-Noël Barrot also described Morocco as a key peacekeeping actor, highlighting its commitment to stability, development and prosperity in Africa.
On the sidelines of the conference, France reaffirmed that the present and future of the Sahara lay within Moroccan sovereignty, while outlining measures intended to translate this position into concrete action.
In Rabat, Morocco once again confirmed its status as a credible partner and a provider of peace.
