FIFA has appointed Dutch referee Danny Makkelie to officiate the match between Morocco and Haiti, scheduled for June 24 at Atlanta Stadium, as part of the third and final matchday of Group C at the 2026 World Cup.

The Dutch official will be assisted by his compatriots Hessel Steegstra and Jan de Vries. Portuguese referee João Pinheiro will serve as the fourth official, while Bruno Jesus has been appointed as reserve assistant referee.

Ahead of this final group-stage match, the Atlas Lions are showing encouraging form. After holding Brazil to a 1-1 draw in their opening game, they followed up with a valuable 1-0 victory over Scotland.

Thanks to these results, Morocco has four points and shares top spot in Group C with Brazil. A victory against Haiti would allow Mohamed Ouahbi’s men to secure qualification for the next stage of the competition with greater peace of mind.
