The Digital Technology Park (PTN), the future nerve center of innovation in Diamniadio, will open its doors to Senegal’s digital sector in March 2026.

The announcement was made by Alioune Sall, Minister of Communication, Telecommunications, and the Digital Economy, during a working visit marking the official relaunch of construction on this strategic infrastructure project.

Built on a 12.5-hectare site for its first phase, the PTN aims to become a fully integrated digital city. It will host three towers dedicated to technology companies, a research and innovation center, a start-up incubator, an audiovisual production center, and a training hub designed to strengthen local skills in digital professions. The minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the schedule and tasked the Operational Coordination and Monitoring Office (BOCS)with ensuring strict supervision of the project’s progress.

Initially launched as part of the “Digital Senegal 2025” program, the project was halted due to technical and administrative constraints.

Its relaunch falls under the Technological New Deal, a national strategy aimed at accelerating the country’s digital transformation. The initiative seeks to create 150,000 direct jobs and certify over 500 start-ups by 2034, according to the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Located near the Diamniadio urban hub and key national infrastructure, the site supports a strategy for balanced territorial development.

With the PTN, the government aims to build a dynamic ecosystem centered on research, training, and innovation, while promoting synergy among public, private, and academic stakeholders.
