Louisette Corporation has just inaugurated in Koumassi, a district in southern Abidjan, a new gastronomic space—the group’s sixth—offering both reimagined local flavors and international cuisine. Dishes include "Attiéké-based Pizza, stuffed yam balls, and the Baoulé Burger.”

Attiéké, an Ivorian dish made from fermented cassava semolina, today listed as UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, has become a national symbol of gastronomy.

"As part of the Sublime Côte d’Ivoire project, it was important for us to contribute and organize this initiative in order to participate in exporting Ivorian culture internationally and within the African sub-region,” said Maël Zinsou, a company representative, quoted by the African Press Agency.

In this spirit, he added, "we began with the Koumassi commune, which has a large youth population, to first present our products to young people,” who form the group’s main market target.

"We offer afro-fusion products such as Attiéké-based Pizza, stuffed yam balls, the Baoulé Burger (made with Ghanaian sweet bread), alloco (fried plantains), and skewers with bread,” explained Maël Zinsou.

The group aims to leverage innovation to attract customers and stand out, while maintaining strict quality standards, to establish itself in the gastronomic sector where global fast-food giants are already operating in Côte d’Ivoire.

"Local sourcing is one of the pillars of our activity. All locally produced raw materials are prioritized in our supply chain. The technical sheets of our recipes are designed to comply with the rules of healthy eating,” he emphasized.

This afro-fusion fast-food concept, rooted in local products, is clearly making its way into the Ivorian culinary lexicon. With six sites and a current staff of 60 employees, the group plans to reach 10 sites by the end of December 2025, with a workforce of 100 employees.

"In all our projects, we aim to highlight Africa and allow Ivorians to travel through the tasting of our products,” which also feature Mexican dishes, he noted.

Louisette Corporation, which is currently industrializing its production processes, intends to expand across Abidjan’s main districts within the next three years. In the long term, it plans to engage in franchising its brand.
