The 4th edition of the China–Africa Economic and Trade Expo will take place from June 12 to 15 in China, announced Denis Christel Sassou Nguesso, Minister of International Cooperation and Promotion of Public-Private Partnerships.

The announcement was made during the Council of Ministers held on February 12 in Brazzaville.

The Minister noted that the event is part of the activities of the Forum on China–Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).

He emphasized that this edition will serve to implement the "ten partnership actions" aimed at modernizing and advancing bilateral cooperation. The expo will also address the economic and trade initiatives defined at the China–Africa Summit held in Beijing in 2024.

In addition, the 4th edition of the Economic and Trade Expo also aims to support the development of the China–Africa Pilot Zone.

As co-chair of FOCAC for the 2025–2027 period, eleven members of the Congolese government, 11 business and association representatives, and 15 exhibition participants will represent Congo. Furthermore, the Chinese company Hunan Road & Bridge Construction Group has committed to designing a 200 m² stand in the special pavilion dedicated to Congo.

The event, jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (MOFCOM) and the People’s Government of Hunan Province, will be held under the theme: “China and Africa: Together Toward Modernization.” A ministerial meeting of cooperation officials and coordinators is scheduled for June 11 in Changsha, ahead of the exhibition.
