Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, and Kenyan Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Musalia Mudavadi, signed bilateral agreements covering various areas of cooperation. Morocco and Kenya are thus opening a new chapter in their bilateral relations.

The signing of the Morocco-Kenya agreements took place after a meeting on Monday in Rabat between the foreign ministers of both countries.

The two parties agreed on the necessity of scheduling the first session of the Morocco-Kenya Joint Cooperation Commission to establish the legal framework governing initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and to expand it into various fields (commercial, socio-economic, and cultural).

On the multilateral level, the two ministers emphasized the importance of political consultations within various forums and international organizations, to align views on matters of common interest, in accordance with the principles of maintaining peace and respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.

Furthermore, Kenya praised the leadership of King Mohammed VI and expressed appreciation for the royal initiatives aimed at promoting intra-African development.
