On Sunday, May 4, President Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema received the resignation of Raymond Ndong Sima from his position as Prime Minister.
According to the Constitution approved by referendum in November 2024, government members’ duties cease upon the swearing-in of the President of the Republic.
On this occasion, the Head of State praised an experienced and dedicated individual whose contribution was crucial to the success of the Transition, as reported by the Gabonese Press Agency.
He expressed his gratitude for the commitment, loyalty, and sense of duty that Ndong Sima demonstrated throughout his mission.
The President of the Republic extended his congratulations for the work accomplished and wished him success in the future.
Having just been sworn in as the head of the new Fifth Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the new president, must quickly proceed with new appointments.
