During the 2022 fiscal year, passenger air traffic experienced an increase of approximately 37.5% compared to 2021.
The number of passengers transported by air rose from 1,083,117 passengers in 2021 to 1,489,317 in 2022, representing an increase of 406,200 passengers. This upturn also impacted the activities of the national airline, which experienced acceleration characterized by an increase in flight frequencies to several destinations. According to the CTR, the country's national airline transported 209,994 passengers in 2022 compared to 153,571 in 2021, an increase of 56,423 passengers. This represents a growth rate of 36.74% compared to the previous year. The number of airport movements also saw an increase of 28.65%, rising from 27,850 movements in 2021 to 35,830 movements in 2022, as reported by the CTR.
