The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has released the schedule for the qualifiers of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN). A total of 19 teams will qualify for the final tournament.
According to the official calendar published by CAF, the first round of CHAN qualifiers will take place from October 25 to 27, 2024, and from November 1 to 3.
The second round is scheduled for December 20 to 22 for the first legs and December 27 to 29 for the return matches.
At the end of the qualifiers, the different zones—UFOA A, UFOA B, UNAF, UNIFFAC, and COSAFA—will each have 3 teams qualify. The CECAFA zone, which includes the host countries, will have one additional team.
The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) will take place from February 1 to 28, 2025, in East Africa.
Senegal is the current titleholder after defeating Algeria, the host of the last edition, two years ago.
