According to the President of the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI), Ibrahime Coulibaly-Kuibiert, the operation to revise the electoral register will start at the end of September. "The operation to revise the electoral register will begin on September 30 and will end on October 31, 2024," Coulibaly-Kuibiert announced.

For the CEI President, it is important to cast one's vote within the bounds of legality.

"To be an elector in the presidential election of October 2025, one must be Ivorian, at least 18 years old, enjoy civil and political rights, and be registered on the electoral list," he emphasized, noting that the quality of being an elector is a fundamental right that allows participation in political life.

Furthermore, the CEI President urges Ivorians to register on the electoral list to ensure a high participation rate in the presidential election, which he hopes will be credible and violence-free.

In addition to urging citizens to register, the CEI will also deploy mobile registration units in remote areas to facilitate the process. These units aim to reach those who may have difficulty accessing registration centers, ensuring that all eligible voters have the opportunity to register.

The revision of the electoral register is a critical step in the preparation for the upcoming elections, and the CEI is committed to transparency and inclusivity throughout the process. The Commission plans to engage with local communities, civil society organizations, and political parties to raise awareness about the importance of voter registration and participation in the democratic process.

By promoting a high level of engagement and ensuring that the electoral register is comprehensive and up-to-date, the CEI aims to lay the groundwork for a fair and peaceful election in 2025.
