During the 7th edition of the "Morocco Today Forum" held on July 5 in Dakhla, the president of CGEM announced the organization of a Forum dedicated to SMEs in Africa. The president of the CGEM Africa Commission, Abdou Diop, explains the purpose of this event.

Abdou Diop was among the panelists at the "Morocco Today Forum." Mr. Africa of the CGEM participated in discussions on the roadmap to be implemented within the framework of the Royal Initiative for the countries of the Atlantic coast and those of the Sahel. His co-panelists included the ambassador and director general of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation, Mohamed Methqal; the Malian ambassador to Morocco, Fafré Camara; and the president of the African Chamber of Commerce and Services of Dakhla, Abdelmounaim Faouzi.

Diop focused his speech on the actions to be implemented to realize the Royal Vision for the Sahel countries. In this context, he emphasized the importance of the Forum that the CGEM will organize next December, centered on SMEs in Africa. He revealed to L’Observateur du Maroc and Pouvoirs d’Afrique that a preliminary study had been launched to examine the possible complementarities and convergences between these SMEs.

Like the other panelists, Diop believes that businesses in Africa stand to benefit greatly from the promising prospects opened up by the International Initiative, stressing the international aspect of this initiative.
