Spain has booked its place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup final after producing an impressive 2-0 victory over France in Tuesday's semi-final.
La Roja took control of the match early, with Mikel Oyarzabal opening the scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after a foul on Lamine Yamal. Despite several attempts by the French side to get back into the game, Spain maintained control of possession and doubled its lead just after the hour mark through Pedro Porro, who finished off an assist from Dani Olmo.
Spain also relied on goalkeeper Unai Simón, whose crucial saves helped preserve the clean sheet.
The defeat ends France's campaign just one step short of the final.
With this victory, Spain reaches the World Cup final for the first time since lifting the trophy in 2010. La Roja will face the winner of Wednesday's second semi-final between England and Argentina.
