Côte d’Ivoire continues to make significant progress in the fight against corruption.
According to the High Authority for Good Governance (HABG), the country now ranks 76th out of 180 countries in the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index, representing an impressive rise of 60 places over the past twelve years.
Speaking at an event organized by the Ivorian Press Agency (AIP), HABG President Epiphane Zoro Bi Ballo noted that Côte d’Ivoire has moved from 136th place in 2013 to 76th place in 2025. During the same period, the country’s score improved from 27 to 43 points out of 100.
According to him, this progress reflects the reforms implemented by Ivorian authorities to strengthen transparency, modernize institutions, and reinforce mechanisms aimed at preventing and combating corruption.
For his part, Amadou Coulibaly, Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson, highlighted the importance of the legal framework established to promote good governance and transparency in public administration.
