Morocco remains in 11th place in the men’s FIFA World Ranking, according to the December edition published by FIFA.

With a total of 1,716.34 points, Morocco is just 0.54 points away from breaking into the Top 10 for the first time in 27 years (since April 1998). The Atlas Lions are closely trailing Croatia, which is still 10th with 1,716.88 points.

Thanks to five wins and one draw achieved by the national A’ team, which recently won the FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar, Morocco improved its score by 3.22 points compared to the November ranking.

The December 2025 FIFA men’s ranking, the last of the year, was released after 42 new matches, mainly played during the Arab Cup. It therefore does not take into account Morocco’s victory over Comoros, achieved the previous day in the opening match of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Rabat.

In the Top 10, Spain (1st) finishes 2025 at the top of the ranking after overtaking Argentina (2nd) during the September qualifiers, while France (3rd) completes the podium. England (4th), Brazil (5th), Portugal (6th), the Netherlands (7th), Belgium (8th) and Germany (9th) also remain in the Top 10.

No changes were recorded among the top 33 teams, and only three national sides managed to climb more than one position: Jordan (64th, 2), finalists of the 2025 FIFA Arab Cup against Morocco, Vietnam (107th, 3) and Singapore (148th, 3).

Among other nations that stood out in 2025 are Norway (29th, unchanged), which gained 68.70 points, and Suriname (123rd, unchanged), which climbed 15 places compared to the December 2024 ranking. Additionally, 12 teams recorded progress of between 10 and 14 places.

By the end of 2025, the confederation distribution among the Top 50 teams remained almost unchanged compared to the previous year: 26 teams from UEFA, seven from CONMEBOL (-1), seven from CAF, five from CONCACAF ( 1), five from AFC, and none from OFC.
