For Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sering Modou Njie, Morocco is not only an ally — it is one of the pillars of African integration and a leading strategic partner.
The Gambian delegation, led by President Adama Barrow, is participating in the MEDays Forum. Speaking on the sidelines of the event, Gambian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sering Modou Njie noted that The Gambia and the Kingdom of Morocco maintain a long-standing relationship based on trust and solidarity. “Our cooperation is exemplary,” he emphasized.
According to the Gambian foreign minister, Morocco plays an essential role in shaping the Africa of tomorrow:“Morocco has been at the forefront of proposing strong initiatives in favor of African integration. It is a vision that The Gambia fully supports.”
A fully assumed strategic partnership
Sering Modou Njie insisted on the convergence of positions between Rabat and Banjul, stressing that The Gambia “works closely with Morocco” and will continue to support the Kingdom’s initiatives “in all efforts aimed at building a united, stable, and fully integrated Africa.”
He also recalled that “the whole world is in Tangier today to celebrate Morocco’s achievements,” noting that Gambian participation is both a symbol and a commitment to a strengthened partnership.
A shared vision for the continent's integration
For the Gambian foreign minister, Morocco–Gambia cooperation is part of a broader pan-African dynamic:“African integration can only be achieved through commitment, leadership, and strong alliances. Morocco plays a pivotal role, and The Gambia will continue to walk alongside it to achieve this goal.”
