A new chapter is opening in the partnership between Morocco and the European Union.

On October 3, 2025, in Brussels, both parties signed an exchange of letters amending the agricultural agreement that binds them — marking a decisive step forward in their economic cooperation.

This revised agreement, the result of negotiations conducted in a spirit of partnership and mutual trust, confirms the application of the EU’s preferential tariffs to the Southern Provinces of the Kingdom.

It entered into provisional application immediately after its signing, pending the completion of internal procedures.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, stated that products from the Moroccan Sahara will now enjoy the same access conditions to the European market as those produced in the north of the country.

This achievement reflects the enlightened vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, who has made the Moroccan Sahara a hub of prosperity and connectivity between Europe and Africa.

Beyond its commercial scope, this agreement demonstrates the strength of the Morocco–EU strategic partnership, built on clarity, trust, and joint action. The Kingdom reaffirms its position as a reliable partner and a driving force for a shared future with the European Union.
