Chad and Benin have signed a visa exemption agreement in New York and announced the upcoming opening of embassies in their respective capitals.

On the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly, Chad and Benin signed a visa exemption agreement.

The ceremony brought together Chad’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration, and Chadians Abroad, Dr. Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul, and his Beninese counterpart, Olushegun Adjadi Bakari.

In addition to the issue of free movement, the two officials discussed strengthening bilateral cooperation and various topics of common interest.
