The 8th edition of the Renaissance Music Awards (RMA) is scheduled for July 25, 2025, in Yaoundé.
Held under the theme “Ethical and Moral Music: A Lasting Legacy for Cameroon’s Development”, the RMA is dedicated to promoting the noblest dimensions of Cameroonian music—its ethics, morality, and educational potential. This event honors artists, promotes Cameroonian music both nationally and internationally, and contributes to youth education and awareness in Cameroon.
Its goal is to reward artists, producers, and professionals who elevate Cameroonian music on national and global stages.
The program includes award presentations, live performances, tributes, and major surprises to celebrate the excellence and creativity of the local music scene.
Launched in 2017, the Renaissance Music Awards is an annual ceremony that celebrates artistic and musical excellence in Cameroon. Created in a spirit of recognition, encouragement, and promotion, the RMA has established itself as one of the leading platforms for honoring talent in the Cameroonian music industry.
Inspired by a vision of cultural renewal, this ceremony aims to spotlight artists, producers, music video directors, sound engineers, managers, and other professionals who work passionately and creatively to shine a light on Cameroonian music at both local and international levels.
Each year, the RMA brings together iconic figures from the music scene, emerging artists, industry leaders, cultural journalists, and a wide audience for an exceptional evening of celebration, live performances, and honors.
