Nigerian artist Tems has recently achieved a historic milestone by becoming a co-owner of the American football club San Diego FC, showcasing both her passion for sports and her commitment to nurturing young talent.

Tems marked a major step in her career by becoming the first African woman to co-own a football club in Major League Soccer (MLS).

On Wednesday, February 12, Tems announced the acquisition of San Diego FC through her company, The Leading Vibe. The club, which made its MLS debut this year with four points in two matches, now benefits from the passionate involvement of the Grammy Award-winning star.

"Music and sports provide opportunities for young talent," Tems stated on her social media, according to reports from the African News Agency.

Her investment goes beyond a simple financial contribution, as she is also actively involved in the "Right to Dream" program, which focuses on scouting and training young footballers.
