The pre-selections for Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2025 will take place from February 15 to May 10. With new participation criteria highlighting individuality and cultural pride, the event promises to redefine elegance while promoting Côte d'Ivoire’s rich heritage on the international stage.
Under the theme of natural elegance, Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2025 is reinventing itself to better reflect today’s values: authenticity, inclusion, and cultural pride.
For this new edition, with the theme "What promotional contribution can the Miss Côte d'Ivoire contest make to Ivorian culture and tourism?", the Miss Côte d'Ivoire Committee (COMICI), led by Victor Yapobi, has introduced major changes redefining the participation criteria. Hair extensions, weaves, and wigs are being replaced by natural hair, highlighting a strong commitment to showcasing the unique beauty of every Ivorian woman.
“These adjustments aim to promote authentic beauty and reflect the natural diversity of Ivorian women,” said Victor Yapobi, quoted by Elle Côte d’Ivoire.
Additionally, other modifications have been made, such as the minimum height requirement being lowered from 1.68m to 1.67m barefoot, and the age limit being extended to 27 years, instead of the previous 25.
During the launch ceremony, the Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Siandou Fofana, praised the strategic role of this event in promoting Ivorian heritage.
"Miss Côte d'Ivoire helps project our country's image beyond its borders by celebrating its cultural and human richness," he stated.
The national tour, a true traveling celebration, will kick off on February 15 in Daloa and will pass through 13 cities, including Odienné, to capture the essence of Côte d'Ivoire's diverse regions.
The final of this 29th edition of Miss Côte d'Ivoire will take place on June 28 in Abidjan.
In November 2024, Côte d'Ivoire hosted, for the first time, the preparation trip for the Miss France 2025 contestants.
In July 2024, Diamala Marie-Emmanuelle, representing Sud-Comoé, was crowned Miss Côte d'Ivoire 2024 during the 28th edition of the competition in Abidjan. Aged 20 and a Finance Management student, she won over the jury with her commitment to women's rights. She succeeds Mylène Djihony, who held the title in 2023.
