The world-renowned Malian artist Sidiki Diabaté is set to perform on February 8, 2025, at the Paris La Défense Arena.

Sidiki Diabaté is a Malian singer, composer, producer, and kora player, born on February 8, 1992, in Bamako, Mali. He hails from a prestigious lineage of griots, the traditional caste of musicians and storytellers in West Africa.

His father, Toumani Diabaté, is a globally acclaimed kora player, and his grandfather, also named Sidiki Diabaté, was a master of this iconic instrument of Manding culture.

Initially gaining fame as a kora virtuoso, Sidiki quickly transitioned to modern music, blending traditional influences with contemporary sounds. He is one of the most popular artists in West Africa and has been instrumental in modernizing Malian music by incorporating genres like Afrobeat, coupé-décalé, and hip-hop.

In 2015, Sidiki and his father were nominated for a Grammy Award for their joint album “Toumani & Sidiki”, which showcased their exceptional kora-playing skills. However, it was his solo career in urban music that catapulted him to the top of the charts in Africa.

Sidiki Diabaté has released numerous hits, including “Fais-moi confiance”, “C’est bon”, and “Je suis désolé”. His unique style and ability to merge tradition with modernity have earned him a massive fan base across Africa and beyond. He has collaborated with renowned African and international artists, further solidifying his place as a global music icon.

Considered one of the most innovative artists of his generation, Sidiki Diabaté has helped introduce modern Malian music to a worldwide audience while preserving the cultural roots of his griot heritage.

On February 8, Sidiki Diabaté will deliver an extraordinary live performance, combining traditional melodies with modern rhythms for a mesmerizing musical experience.
