Morocco, Angola, and Libya are the three African nations set to participate in the FIFA Futsal World Cup. The competition, taking place from September 14 to October 6 in Uzbekistan, will feature 24 teams divided into six groups.

Morocco aims to reaffirm its dominance in African futsal. The team, led by coach Hicham Dguig, is a three-time African champion. This marks Morocco's fourth consecutive participation in the Futsal World Cup, following appearances in Thailand (2012), Colombia (2016), and Lithuania (2020).

Morocco is placed in Group E, alongside Portugal, Panama, and Tajikistan.

The Atlas Lions will kick off their campaign against Tajikistan at the Humo Arena on Monday at 4:00 PM Moroccan time.

Last Monday, Morocco won a friendly match against Afghanistan, securing a 4-3 victory as part of their preparations for the World Cup.

The Moroccan futsal team has won three consecutive editions of the Africa Cup of Nations, in 2016, 2020, and 2024.

Angola and Libya will have to prove themselves against the other teams in the tournament.
