Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) and its AI Movement are spearheading efforts to propel Morocco and Africa into a new digital era. Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, an international high-level forum on Artificial Intelligence will be held from June 3 to 5, 2024, in Rabat, aiming to make this century the century of Africa through AI.

AI Movement will host this unprecedented international high-level forum on Artificial Intelligence at its headquarters in Rabat. This event will bring together global leaders, technology experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives to discuss the latest advancements in AI in Morocco and across Africa. With the emergence of generative AI applications and autonomous machines, artificial intelligence promises to profoundly transform personal and professional lives. Opening discussions on its benefits and risks now is crucial.

Good governance, ethics, and the protection of privacy and personal data will be among the primary topics addressed. Participants will also explore avenues for innovative and beneficial partnerships for Africans, aiming to maximize the benefits of this technological revolution.

One of the forum's highlights will be the official launch in Rabat, under the aegis of UNESCO, of Africa's first Category 2 AI Center. Professor Amal El Fallah Seghrouchni, a dynamic pillar of this initiative, will present the vision of this center, symbolizing a decisive step toward integrating AI into the continent's development strategies.

The forum will feature inspiring TED-style talks, success stories from startup founders, and interactive sessions led by AI experts from Africa, America, Europe, China, and the Middle East. This extensive brainstorming will highlight diverse perspectives and knowledge, enriching the debate on AI's implications and applications.

The forum will also offer networking opportunities, allowing participants to forge connections, exchange ideas, and form partnerships for future projects.
