After the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (CAN), Aliou Cissé was extended as the head of the Senegal national team. His next mission is to qualify the team for the 2025 CAN and the 2026 World Cup.
Guesting on RMC Sport's After Foot on Tuesday, April 2, the Senegalese shared on the set that his team is capable of winning the World Cup.
"I know that Senegal is capable of winning the World Cup in the future. It's clear. With this generation coming to maturity, they are capable of achieving great things. It starts with qualifying for the next CAN in 2025, then by making a strong run to bring home the trophy that eluded us in Ivory Coast."
