Morocco will host the first 24-team Women's World Cup in football in 2025, followed by the next four annual editions.

The FIFA president announced yesterday in Zurich that FIFA has entrusted Morocco with the organization of the next five editions of the U17 Women's World Cup. With now 24 participants, the competition will be held annually starting from the 2025 edition, FIFA highlights.

Qatar has been chosen to organize the male version of the same competition during the same years, from 2025 to 2029.

"These two countries were selected following a global call for bids, with one of the key criteria being the use of existing football infrastructures for logistical efficiency and sustainability," FIFA explains on its website.
