Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama on Tuesday in Accra welcomed the progress made in cooperation between Ghana and Morocco during a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second session of the Morocco–Ghana Joint Cooperation Commission, dedicated to strengthening the partnership between the two countries.

During the talks, the Ghanaian Head of State asked Nasser Bourita to convey his fraternal greetings to His Majesty King Mohammed VI. He also highlighted the positive momentum that has characterized bilateral relations since the historic visit of the Moroccan Sovereign to Ghana in February 2017.

According to John Dramani Mahama, the Royal Visit marked a turning point in relations between Rabat and Accra, paving the way for a stronger partnership in several areas of common interest.
