Morocco has written a new chapter in its dance history. Dancer Youssef Mourahab won the gold medal at the 2026 Dance World Cup, held in Dublin, Ireland, by claiming victory in the Senior Solo – Showstopper category.
Representing, among others, the Tempsdanse school, the young Moroccan performer impressed the judges with an outstanding performance, earning 90.9 points—the highest score in his category—and securing the world champion title.
Beyond the individual achievement, the victory carries historic significance. For the first time since the creation of the Dance World Cup, Morocco has reached the top step of the podium, with its national anthem played during the medal ceremony.
The achievement crowns years of hard work, discipline, and perseverance, while highlighting the talent of the new generation of Moroccan dancers on the international stage.
With this world title, Youssef Mourahab has etched his name into the history of Moroccan dance, giving the Kingdom its first-ever title in one of the world's most prestigious international dance competitions.
