A new milestone has been reached in economic cooperation between Morocco and Mauritania. On the sidelines of the African Conference on Electricity and Renewable Energy, held in Nouakchott, the Moroccan National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energy (FENELEC) and the Mauritanian Federation of Energy and Electricity (FEMEELEC) signed a strategic partnership agreement on Tuesday.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation aimed at accelerating the development of the electricity, electronics, and renewable energy sectors in both countries. It is based on strengthening skills, sharing expertise, transferring technology, and promoting trade.

The two federations have committed to increasing the exchange of information on regulatory developments, applicable standards, and technological innovations. They also plan to share studies, sector reports, and publications while jointly monitoring tenders, investment opportunities, and emerging markets in Morocco and Mauritania.

The agreement also provides for the organization of webinars, seminars, thematic conferences, and business missions to foster partnerships between economic operators from both countries.

Finally, this cooperation aims to increase B2B meetings between member companies of the two federations, promote the transfer of know-how and technology, and support the launch of joint innovation projects in the fields of electricity, electronics, and renewable energy.
