Legendary Ivorian group Magic System is preparing to reach a symbolic milestone in its history. To celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027, the band is planning a series of major events, including an international tour that will culminate in a spectacular concert at the Accor Arena in Paris-Bercy.

The announcement was made in Abidjan by Salif Traoré, better known as A’Salfo, during the 6th edition of the “Causerie entre communicants,” where he was the guest of honor. Speaking before an audience of communication professionals, the leader of Magic System unveiled the highlights of the anniversary year, which will run from February to December 2027.

The European leg of the celebration will reach its peak on March 21, 2027, when the group takes the stage at Paris-Bercy after several performances across France’s Zénith venues. “It’s going to be a huge celebration. A Magic System concert is not just a concert—it’s a gathering, almost like a mass,” A’Salfo said, promising a show worthy of three decades of success.

After Europe, the performers behind the iconic hit “Premier Gaou” will reunite with their fans in Côte d’Ivoire before embarking on a major African tour, celebrating with the audiences who have supported them since their beginnings in the working-class neighborhood of Anoumabo.

During the event, A’Salfo also reflected on the group’s remarkable journey. Recalling the difficult early years, he explained how passion gradually turned into a vocation, shaping the values that continue to guide Magic System today.

Despite a level of recognition that now brings them into official French circles, including visits to the Élysée Palace, the members of the group remain deeply humble. “This success story is God’s work,” the singer said, emphasizing that faith remains one of the pillars of his journey.

Beyond music, A’Salfo has become a key figure in cultural and social development in Côte d’Ivoire through Gaou Productions and the Anoumabo Urban Music Festival (FEMUA). Now one of Africa’s largest cultural events, the festival attracts nearly 35,000 attendees per day and enjoys the support of 58 partners.

Its impact extends far beyond the arts. Thanks to FEMUA’s initiatives, fifteen schools have been built across the country, enabling more than 4,500 children to access education.

A’Salfo is also actively involved in sports. He highlighted the achievements of the Anoumabo Football Academy, which produced young talent Bazoumana Touré, considered one of Côte d’Ivoire’s brightest prospects ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Always looking ahead, the artist announced another ambitious project: the creation of a performing arts school aimed at training future professionals in the cultural and creative industries in Côte d’Ivoire and across Africa.

Speaking on the theme “Communication and the Creative Industry: Is Art in the Service of the Brand?”, A’Salfo also shared his views on branding and entrepreneurship. In his opinion, a brand’s credibility is built first and foremost on its values. This conviction once led him to turn down a contract worth €300,000 in order to protect his image.

In conclusion, the leader of Magic System encouraged communication professionals to create narratives capable of inspiring partners while meeting their strategic objectives. A message that reflects his own journey—an artist who became an entrepreneur, a builder, and a source of inspiration for an entire generation.
