Beninese President Romuald Wadagni officially announced the composition of his new government on Sunday evening through a presidential decree.

The new administration now includes 24 members, made up of 19 ministers and five deputy ministers.

Among the notable appointments, Corinne Amori Brunet has been named Minister of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, Aristide Medenou takes charge of the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Former Beninese Foreign Minister Olushegun Adjadi Bakari has been appointed Minister of Tourism and Foreign Trade.

The new government also retains several familiar faces. Benjamin Ignace Bodounrin Hounkpatin, Yvon Détchénou, Benoît K. M. Dato, and Véronique Tognifodé have all kept their positions.

Sworn in on May 24 in Cotonou, the Beninese head of state leads the executive branch in accordance with the Constitution, combining the roles of President of the Republic and Head of Government.
