As part of preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Morocco national team coach Mohamed Ouahbi has called up an extended squad of 28 players for a training camp scheduled from May 22 to 26.
According to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), this gathering represents the final evaluation stage before the official announcement of the squad that will represent Morocco at the 2026 World Cup.
Several key national team players have been included in the squad, notably Munir Mohamedi, Ismael Saibari, Mohamed Chibi, Sofiane Boufal, and Ayoub El Kaabi.
The Moroccan coach has also decided to give several young talents a final opportunity to impress the technical staff before the definitive squad list is unveiled on May 26.
The selected group notably includes Mehdi Harrar, Yanis Benchaouchi, Ibrahim Goumies, Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Ismaïl Baâouf, Oussama Targhalline, Imran Louza, Anass Salah-Eddine, Yasser Zabiri, Othmane Maamma, and Ayoub Bouaddi.
At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Morocco will compete in Group C, featuring a highly anticipated clash against the Brazil national football team on June 13, before facing the Scotland national football team and the Haiti national football team.
