Rabat will host the 50th edition of the Hassan II Trophy and the 29th edition of the Lalla Meryem Cup from May 18 to 24 at the legendary Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

This anniversary edition marks a historic milestone for Moroccan and international golf. Founded in 1971 by the late King Hassan II, the Hassan II Trophy celebrates half a century of existence, confirming the royal vision that has positioned Morocco among the world’s leading golf nations.

A Must-Attend Event in Global Golf

Now a prestigious stop on the PGA TOUR Champions, the tournament will bring together 66 major figures in world golf this year on the iconic Red Course of Royal Golf Dar Es Salam. Among them are several major winners and legends of the sport, promising a spectacle worthy of this historic celebration.

Golf enthusiasts still remember Miguel Ángel Jiménez’s triumph in the previous edition, a symbol of the excellence and prestige that have defined the Hassan II Trophy for decades.

The Lalla Meryem Cup Upholds a Tradition of Inclusivity

Held simultaneously on the Blue Course, the Lalla Meryem Cup continues Rabat’s unique tradition of gender inclusivity. Created in 1993 by the late King Hassan II, the tournament will welcome 132 players from the Ladies European Tour (LET), while also highlighting Moroccan female talent.

Through this dual men’s and women’s programming, Rabat confirms its status as a major hub of international golf.

A Week Focused on Youth

The event will also place strong emphasis on youth development and introduction to the sport. The “Pro-Am Hassan II Kids Cup by First Tee” will allow children from the First Tee Morocco program to share the course with professional players in an educational and friendly atmosphere.

This initiative reflects the organizers’ commitment to making golf a more accessible, inclusive, and inspiring sport for Moroccan youth.

An Immersive Experience Open to All

True to its tradition of openness, Royal Golf Dar Es Salam will offer a completely free experience to the public throughout the week.

The venue will feature a large entertainment village, including:

Golf initiation areas

A food court and dining spaces

Nature walking paths

Technical demonstrations and interactive activities

Relaxation areas for families

Free parking and shuttle services will also be provided to facilitate access for visitors.

A Spectacular Exhibition with Ben Kruper and Troy Mullins

One of the highlights of this edition will be the “Challenge Troy and Ben”, a unique exhibition scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 on the Green Course.

Golf content creators Ben Kruper and Troy Mullins will deliver a spectacular showcase of technical shots and interactive challenges in a festive and immersive atmosphere.

They will also take part in a clinic for children, reinforcing the educational and accessible dimension of the event.

A Jubilee Focused on Sharing

Beyond the sporting competition, this Golden Jubilee edition aims to make golf a popular and unifying celebration.

By combining top-level sport, cultural activities, family entertainment, and free access, the Hassan II Trophy and the Lalla Meryem Cup reaffirm their mission: to promote Morocco internationally while opening the doors of golf to the widest possible audience.
