Moroccan striker Ayoub El Kaabi scored a brace against Panserraikos to surpass the 50-goal mark in the league with Olympiakos FC. During the 26th matchday of the Greek Super League, he secured a 2–1 victory for his team, confirming his efficiency since joining the club in Piraeus.

Already decisive during his first two seasons with the Greek club — scoring 17 goals in his first campaign and 18 in the following one — the Moroccan international continues his momentum with 15 goals in the current season. Across all competitions, he has recorded 16 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances. Under contract until June 2026, El Kaabi has established himself as one of Olympiakos’ key attacking players.

Before making his mark in Greece, El Kaabi had already gained recognition in Morocco. Playing for Wydad Athletic Club during the 2020–2021 season, he scored 26 goals in 43 matches. Several of his goals in the CAF Champions League, particularly against Horoya AC, featured acrobatic overhead kicks that have become his trademark.

In June 2021, he also stood out in the Moroccan league by scoring two spectacular goals against Renaissance de Berkane and Difaâ Hassani El Jadida.

With the Morocco national football team, he also made an impact during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers, finding the net against Guinea-Bissau in a 5–0 victory in October 2021.

Originally from Casablanca, Ayoub El Kaabi began his career at Racing Casablanca before playing for RS Berkane and Wydad. He later gained international experience with Hebei FC in China and Al Sadd SC in Qatar, before confirming his reputation as a prolific striker in Greece.
