Head of Government Aziz Akhannouch held a telephone conversation on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, with his Senegalese counterpart, Ousmane Sonko, during which they agreed to hold the 15th session of the Morocco–Senegal High Joint Partnership Commission, as scheduled, on January 26 and 27 in Rabat.
The 14th session of the Morocco–Senegal High Joint Commission will indeed take place on January 26 and 27, 2026.
On the sidelines of this session, the proceedings of the Morocco–Senegal Economic Forum will also be organized, according to a statement from the Department of the Head of Government.
These decisions were taken during the telephone conversation between Aziz Akhannouch and Ousmane Sonko. On this occasion, the two heads of government welcomed the depth of the exceptional and strategic relations linking Morocco and Senegal, under the leadership of the two countries’ leaders, King Mohammed VI and the President of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye.
The discussion also highlighted the strength of relations between the two countries, which are built on solid foundations and cover a wide range of areas.
