Miguel Angel Gamondi and Tanzania have been eliminated from the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, currently being played in Morocco. Facing the host nation, they lost 1–0 on Sunday and were forced to pack their bags, but the Argentine coach was not disappointed with his players’ performance.

After the 1–0 defeat against Morocco’s Atlas Lions, following a goal scored by Brahim Diaz in the 64th minute, Miguel Angel Gamondi nonetheless expressed satisfaction with the attitude shown by the Tanzanian players.

“I am satisfied with this result. Morocco pushed hard, and we managed to hold on during the first half. They have more quality than we do, and we know we have limitations against an opponent of this caliber. Morocco also has quality players, while we have only one player who plays in Turkey. They made the difference because they have more experience than us,” Gamondi said, as reported by Africatopsport.

The match, which counted toward qualification for the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, was played at the Prince Moulay Stadium in Rabat, Morocco.
