As announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), the CAF Awards 2025 ceremony will take place on November 19, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco, to honor the best performers in African football over the past year.

This annual event, which will begin at 6:00 p.m. GMT (8:00 p.m. Cairo time), will spotlight the players, coaches, clubs, and national teams that have distinguished themselves through outstanding performances during the season.

Among the main awards to be presented are African Player of the Year (men and women), Coach of the Year, National Team of the Year, Club of the Year, and Young Player of the Year.

The nominations for the top male and female categories have already been announced, reigniting suspense over who will succeed Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman, crowned in 2024 among men, and Zambia’s Barbra Banda, winner among women.

In recent years, the ceremony’s honors list has been dominated by iconic figures such as Victor Osimhen (Nigeria), Sadio Mané (Senegal), and Mohamed Salah (Egypt) among men, while Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria) and Thembi Kgatlana (South Africa) have shone among women.

By once again choosing Morocco, already host to several major African competitions, the CAF reaffirms the kingdom’s central role in African sports diplomacy. The 2025 edition of the CAF Awards promises to be a showcase of excellence and diversity in African football, just weeks before the draw for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
