The CAF Women’s Champions League is scheduled to take place from November 8 to 21 in Egypt, with eight teams set to compete following the completion of the group-stage draw.
The draw for the 5th edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League was announced on Monday, October 27, by the continental body. According to the statement, “the opening match will see FC Masar (Egypt) face AS FAR (Morocco) in Ismailia, offering a 100% North African clash.”
The tournament will be held from November 8 to 21, 2025, across two venues: the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia and the Right to Dream Stadium in Cairo. Eight teams will participate, divided into two groups of four clubs each.
Group A: FC Masar (Egypt), AS FAR (Morocco), 15 de Agosto (Equatorial Guinea), and USFAS (Mali).
Group B: TP Mazembe (DR Congo), ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), Gaborone United (Botswana), and JKT Queens (Tanzania).
According to CAF’s statement, “two new teams — 15 de Agosto and USFAS — will make their debut in the competition,” promising exciting and well-balanced matches, reports the African Press Agency.
Defending champions TP Mazembe will begin their title defense on November 9 against ASEC Mimosas, in what is expected to be a highly competitive encounter.
The winner of this edition will receive a prize of $600,000, while the runner-up will take home $400,000, according to the official statement.
